Hola. So I'm going through old songs, listening to the things I used to think were cool. I remember singing Pearl Jam's "Daughter" over and over again, sitting on the top bunk in my bedroom, which was my brother's bed. Now, it's like, whoa, didn't realize THAT was what it was about. I just remember thinking, I will never live up to my family, and they can never get inside my head.
R.E.M. seems to last better, likely cuz they're my favorite band. "Half a World Away" still feels as oddly hopeful, but now it's got that tinge of sad, melancholy, knowing that I've let people down.
Anyway, point is, I'm gonna try to get back to this blog, after a long while of not keeping it up.
